CLEAN TINTED SPF HONEST REVIEWS

July 23, 2019 in BEAUTY, MAKEUP, SKINCARE

Hi y’all! It seems like it’s been a long time since I last posted a product review. But the truth is that I have been testing and using quite a few different products that I need to review here. So let’s start with some clean tinted spf, since we are in the summer and holiday mode is on.

Of the things that I can’t live without, SPF is definitely on the top 3. It is so important to protect your skin from the sun to avoid getting minor skin imperfections like sun spots and wrinkles, and in worst cases, skin cancer.

It is important to use it everyday, not only when its sunny and you are going to be outside. I read somewhere that even light bulbs can cause some damage to our skin, and even the blue light from cellphones and computers can cause skin damage. Who knows to what extent but I don’t want to find out.

I had been using (and still use) my Mad Hippie Facial SPF that I like to mix with my foundation when I want extra coverage, but I wanted to get something lighter to wear during the week that had had some coverage. I decided to go to the Detox Market website to start reading reviews and such, when I discovered they offered samples. Ding ding ding.

I ended up picking 4 different clean tinted spf from different brands and I will be giving a mini review of each here. Each sample lasted me about a week so it was enough to test it and truly see how my skin would react to each. Now, I have to note that my skin is not normal and I do have to make a great deal of trial and error before I find something that really works, even if I’m using all non toxic products. Some ingredients just don’t agree with my face.

Before applying them I still put my serum and facial oils, after cleansing my face of course. I usually find that I can’t do without skipping this step.

This is the very first one I tried. I have tried their body sunscreen before and really liked it. This tinted sunscreen was very easy to apply, a little goes a long way and the tint was just enough to even my skin tone, I honestly could use this in place of foundation, the coverage is excellent. It is not thick but not very liquid-y.

I do think though that it left my face very shiny, I had to blot at least 3 times a day just to get some of the sheen off. It is not enough of a problem for me to not recommend it. I didn’t have any breakouts so if your face is not on the oily side you might find this one to work for you.

Overall I think it is a great product, maybe it would work fine if I lived in less humid weather, we’ll have to try it again this way.

raw elements tinted face moisturizer SPF 30

clean tinted spf review

This tinted moisturizer was my very favorite. It slides through your skin like butter and it gives a slight tan tinted coverage. It blends in your skin easily and I had no breakouts at all. My face was not shiny throughout the day. Because this product is plastic free, it also added to my list of pros.

I really like the simplicity of this one and how easy it applies, so this one for me was the winner, I do like a natural look and this one helps me achieve just that, plus it adds a little color to my face without looking fake.

w3ll people bio tint multi-action moisturizer spf 30

clean tinted spf review

This bio tint moisturizer did break me out. Again, my skin is extremely delicate and one application tends to be enough for it to start breaking out. It applies very easily to the skin, although I found I needed a little bit more than with the other two to cover my face.

After looking for more info on this product, I found that the ingredient list was quite long, so trying to find what was making my skin react would probably take some time. Some people love it some people hate it. UPDATE: W3LL PEOPLE has now been bought by E.L.F. cosmetics so I am trying to steer clear to avoid more suspicious ingredients.

suntegrity 5 in 1 natural moisturizing face sunscreen spf 30

suntegrity

This suntegrity product is also very good, I found my skin looks airbrushed when using it. It smells like regular sunscreen. I do need to apply a good amount to cover my entire face, it is thicker than the others. It did not break me out and it doesn’t leave my skin greasy at all. This is my second favorite. It is little bit more expensive than the rest, but it is also a 5-in-1 product, so ideal for people that are looking for a multitasker.
