I love creating capsules now that I am much more mindful of the garments that I purchase, specially for trips. I also like to have them as a list on hand when you can’t think of an outfit. This time, I wanted to make a white t-shirt capsule, which is something that almost everyone has.
This particular T-shirt I won as part of a giveaway, it is from Ferocious Love Apparel. It is made of TENCEL, which is a sustainable fabric made from wood pulp. This is not a sponsored post I just love how soft and comfortable this T-shirt is.
Most of the other pieces have been part of my wardrobe for many years. Except for the skirt and the light color jeans, the booties and tan blazer, which are preloved. I am determined to have only pieces that I absolutely love in my closet.
I used basic neutral pieces that most people should have in their closets. With the exception of the skirt and blazer, that you may or may not have in other color. I like my neutrals, they make me happy and feel like I can create so many outfits with them.
Anyways, as I was creating the looks I was thinking of the places that I could wear them and I think I got the whole spectrum. From date night, happy hour, coffee with friends, regular work day, meetings, out and about day, or my fave, brunch! It all really depends on your mood, but really I thought all of the outfits look very chic.
Sneakers are a must in my closet. This pair I got in 2016 on a trip to Paris and I still use them almost religiously. I will use them until they fall apart, and after that, I’d like to invest in a pair of Veja. But until then, I will keep on rocking these!
the pieces
Here’s what I used for this white t-shirt capsule, essentially 13 pieces. I did not count accessories, because I think it is something so unique for each person:
- white V-neck T-shirt by Ferocious Love Apparel
- distressed light jeans (bought last year)
- dark jeans (bought in 2018)
- black trousers (can’t remember, at least 4 years old)
- tan faux leather skirt (bought last year)
- black blazer (bought in 2018)
- light brown blazer (preloved)
- denim jacket (bought in 2015 in a boutique in the Netherlands)
- black booties (preloved)
- snake print slides (bought las year)
- red sandals (bought in 2016)
- sneakers (bought in 2016 in Paris)
- black slides (bought in 2015)
As you can see, a lot of the pieces I’ve had for a while, and I use them non stop. I try to focus on quality and good fit and that makes it really easy to wear over and over.
